The young Luca Brecel of Belgium makes his Champion of Champions debut after an emphatic 10-5 victory of Shaun Murphy in the China Championship to claim his maiden career ranking title.
The 22-year old’s win made him the first player from continental Europe to win a ranking title, and claiming a maiden trophy fulfilled a lifelong dream for the 22-year-old, who beat Ronnie O’Sullivan and Li Hang in deciding frames to reach the final.
“I have always believed that I can win a lot of tournaments, but now I have got one I believe that even more.”
