Selby enjoyed a sensational puple patch midway through the 2012/13 season and won two of snooker's biggest titles.

He captured the williamhill.com UK Championship in York by beating Shaun Murphy 10-6 in the final. That was Selby's third ranking title. And just a few weeks later he beat Neil Robertson 10-6 to win the Betfair Masters at Alexandra Palace.

He also won two European Tour events - the Paul Hunter Classic and the Munich Open - both in Germany. And despite a second round defeat to Barry Hawkins at the Betfair World Championship, by a 13-10 scoreline, Selby finished the season ranked number one in the world and was voted Player of the Season at the sport's annual awards.
