Gould enjoyed an excellent 2012/13 season, winning three trophies. Only Mark Selby lifted more silverware during the campaign.

He won a tournament carrying ranking points for the first time at UKPTC2, beating Stephen Maguire 4-3 in the final in Gloucester.

Gould then enjoyed the best moment of his career to date when he won the Betfair Shoot-Out in January 2013 in Blackpool. He beat Mark Allen in the final of the one-frame knockout event to land the £32,000 top prize.

The third of his hat-trick of titles came at the Championship League, where he beat Ali Carter 3-2 in the final with a century break in the deciding frame.

Gould couldn't match that success in the main ranking events and was unable to regain the top 16 place which he held in 2011/12.
